Job summary
Texas Oncology in San Marcos, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Physicist to join our busy Central Texas team. The successful candidate will work within a 16-physicist group, support nine facilities, and provide coverage for the San Marcos Cancer Center, with opportunities to collaborate regionally and participate in HDR, TBI, and stereotactic programs.
The role requires a CAMPEP-accredited degree and residency, ABR certification or in process, Texas licensure eligibility, and strong
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP accredited program.
- Graduate from a CAMPEP accredited residency program.
- ABR board certification or in process of obtaining certification.
- Eligibility for a Texas license.
- Strong organization and oral/written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- All aspects of radiation oncology physics, including QA and external beam clinical support.
- Oversee a busy stereotactic program and treatment planning for intracranial SRS cases.
- Collaborate and provide cross-coverage with nearby clinics, including HDR duties.
- RSO duties and maintain compliance with guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain ABR board certification and Texas licensure.
