Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Georgia team in Atlanta. You will provide patient care under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or RN, and support both front and back office tasks to ensure smooth flow of care.

The role requires a GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or two years of related clinical experience. CMA‑AAMA and BCLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• GED required and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, two (2) years of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.
• One year of experience in a medical office setting with completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA certification Upon Hire required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
• Duty assignments include front office and back office functions.
