Job summary

UAB Medicine in Birmingham, AL, invites you to join the Hematopathology & Bone Marrow Lab as a Certified Medical Lab Technician. You will perform automated hematology, urinalysis, coagulation studies, and bone marrow-related analyses in a leading academic medical center.

Requires an Associate’s degree and MLT certification (ASCP or AMT) within 15 months; BLS may be required within 30 days. This is a full-time role with a sign-on bonus of up to $8,000 and strong educational and benefits programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; experience may not substitute.
• Must be MLT certified (ASCP or AMT) within 15 months of hire.
• BLS certification may be required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated hematology, urinalysis, coagulation studies, and smear review.
• Prepare reagents, perform quality control and troubleshoot with supervision.
• Maintain equipment and contribute to bone marrow-related studies as assigned.
