Qualifications

• Associate's degree or coding education program completed in college or equivalent.
• National Certification from AHIMA or AAPC required upon hire.
• AHIMA/ AAPC specialty certifications preferred upon hire.
• 3 years of professional coding experience in HCC coding and related clinic areas.
• 3 years physician/clinic billing experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform coding audits of patient care billing documentation to ensure CPT and ICD coding guidelines are followed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payor billing and payment policies.
• Collaborate with Providence teams to support accurate coding and documentation.
