You will review records, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation, ensure coding accuracy, address discrepancies, and communicate effectively with teammates while meeting timelines.

Qualifications

The candidate should be detail-oriented, accurate, and capable of working independently in a work-from-home environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on documentation.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with applicable healthcare and payer guidelines.
• Identify documentation discrepancies and request clarification when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• AAPC or AHIMA certification is mandatory.

Remote Work Requirements

• Must be able to work remotely from anywhere within the United States.
• Candidate must have their own computer/system and reliable internet connection suitable for work.
• Must be available to work 6 hours per day / 30 hours per week.
• Candidate should have a suitable, professional work environment for remote work.
• Candidates must successfully complete a background verification (BGV).
• A clean background verification is required for employment.

AAPC or AHIMA certification is mandatory. Candidates without either certification will not be considered.
