Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians in Georgia is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN in accordance with guidelines. You will join a cardiovascular care team delivering compassionate, hands-on support in a fast-paced setting.

The Education requirements include HS diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or one year of related clinical experience; licensing requirements include BCLS

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• CMA-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required or
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.
