Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians in Augusta, GA is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide a variety of patient care activities under physician or nurse supervision. The role supports clinical workflows and ensures safety and quality of care.

Required or preferred qualifications include a GED or medical assisting program, or nursing assistant program, plus at least 1 year of clinical experience and basic life support certification.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred and Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required
• Licenses and Certifications required: BCLS (Basic Life Support) Required
• CMA-AAMA Certification or NCMA-NCTT preferred or required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, APP, or RN per guidelines.
• Support clinical workflows and assist with patient flow in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to established standards and maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
