Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under supervision in a fast-paced clinical setting in South Carolina.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (preferred) or be graduates of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. Certification in BCLS is required, CMA/NCMA is preferred, and one year of related experience may substitute formal education.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education, one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience may be accepted.
• BCLS certification required; CMA or NCMA certification preferred or required.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or

Work Experience

• In lieu of degree one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required or
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT Required
