Your Wellness Sources (YWS) in Hyattsville, MD is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a high-volume integrated practice. The role requires national CMA certification and at least two years of outpatient clinical experience, with duties across clinical/back-office and front-office tasks.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, vitals, venipuncture, injections, EKGs, Pap smears, HIPAA compliance, and accurate EHR documentation using AthenaOne.

Qualifications

• Must hold Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA) certification.
• Minimum 2 years outpatient clinical experience.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, injections, EKGs.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• EHR experience (AthenaOne preferred).
• Strong communication and time management skills.

• Room and prepare 20+ patients daily.
• Obtain and document vitals and histories.

About Your Wellness Sources (yws)

Your Wellness Sources (YWS) is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary outpatient practice providing integrated primary care, behavioral health, nutrition, and ancillary services. Our clinic manages 20+ in-clinic patients daily, in addition to procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and other clinical services.

Position Overview

This role is not entry-level. Applicants must hold a current national Medical Assistant certification from an accredited certifying body. School diplomas alone do NOT meet this requirement.

Core Responsibilities

Clinical / Back-Office Duties

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure accurate EHR documentation
• Maintain HIPAA and clinic protocols
• Communicate with multidisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications

• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA)

(AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, or NCCA-accredited body)

• Minimum 2 years outpatient clinical experience
• Proficiency in phlebotomy, injections, EKGs
• CPR/BLS certification
• EHR experience (AthenaOne preferred)
• Strong communication and time management skills

Preferred

• Spirometry or audiogram experience
• IV, Intravenous experience
