Qualifications:
~High school diploma or GED
~Graduation from a medical assistant or emergency medical technician program OR documentation from the licensing authority confirming that medical assistant/emergency medical technician education is not a requirement for certification
~Knowledge of medical terminology, medical assistant/outpatient care tasks, and customer service concepts
~Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, and operate basic medical equipment
~BLS - American Heart Association
~One of the following licenses and certifications :
~Demonstrates SMILES and AIDET philosophies to patients, families, and coworkers
~Acknowledges the customer
~Identifies self
~Keeps customers informed by explaining all tasks, processes, and procedures
~Thank the customer
~Adheres to Standards of Behavior
~Tasks are measured by observation of evaluator
