Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join a dynamic care team. Requires CMA certification and H.S. diploma; 1 year MA experience preferred and successful completion of THPG Clinical Training within 90 days of entry. ACLS/BCLS certifications are valued.

The role supports patient care under physician supervision, with full-time hours and a sign-on bonus for eligible new hires. Work location at 800 5th Avenue, Fort Worth, TX.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (Preferred) and completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency within 90 days of job entry (Required)
• CMA certification is required; ACLS or BCLS certifications are preferred/required as noted

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the healthcare provider, delivers patient care promoting safety and well-being.
• Accurately performs preliminary physical tests (BP, weight, temperature, pulse, respirations).
• Obtain and record vital signs and medical history per protocol.
• Administer medications and vaccines as ordered by the provider.
• Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab analysis when required, including EKGs.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and ensure follow-up compliance.
• Document care plans, tests and results in the medical record as directed.
• Communicate test results and care plans to patients by phone or mail.
• Maintain sterile instruments and clean exam rooms; support front office as needed.

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

CMA - Certified Medical Assistant

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Preferred)

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
