Job summary

The Clinical Medical Assistant role at IREDELL URGENT CARE in Mooresville, NC provides direct patient care and clinical support in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Candidates must hold CMA, RMA, or CCMA credentials and current BLS/CPR.

Responsibilities include vital signs, room prep, assisting with exams, venipuncture, injections, EHR documentation, and adherence to OSHA/HIPAA standards. Schedule: Mon–Wed 7a–7p at 653 Bluefield Rd.

Qualifications

• Required: CMA, RMA, or CCMA from an accredited certifying body.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Demonstrated clinical competency and strong teamwork.
• Current CPR certification or willing to complete within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, weight, height, and patient history.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control standards.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform EKGs, spirometry, vision testing, wound care, and PPC testing.
• Administer medications and immunizations per standing orders.
• Draw venipuncture and collect specimens; track lab results.
• Document all clinical tasks in the EHR in real time.
• Support care coordination, scheduling, and population health tasks.
