Job summary

Iredell Health System in Mooresville, NC seeks a Clinical Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced outpatient practice. Must hold CMA, RMA, or CCMA credentials and current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, preparing exam rooms, assisting with examinations, administering vaccines, performing EKGs and basic tests, documenting in the EHR, and supporting care coordination and referrals.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA, RMA, or CCMA credential from an accredited body.
• Graduate of an accredited MA program.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, weight, height, and patient history.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control standards.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Perform EKGs, spirometry, vision testing, wound care, and point-of-care testing.
• Administer medications and immunizations per standing orders.
• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Document all clinical tasks in the EHR in real time.
• Support care coordination and referrals.
• Chart prep, scheduling, and population health tasks.
