Job Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant will perform delegated clinical and administrative duties in accordance with education, training, and experience. Responsibilities include working in clinical and front office settings, providing clerical support, assisting in healthcare delivery, and supporting patient care activities as directed by physicians or providers. Duties will be tailored to the specific needs of the practice.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certificate of completion or diploma from a medical assistant program, or completion of Guild MedCerts medical assistant certification course, or equivalent experience (at least 6 months as a CMA), or proof of on-the-job training in medical assisting

Licensure/Certification:

• Current CMA certification from AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA

Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a medical office assistant, CNA, or similar role
• Experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy
• For Rural Health Clinic: BLS certification through the American Heart Association
