Job summary

Ascension Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Providence Place Primary Care in Mt. Juliet, TN. The role supports a primary care clinic with full-time daytime hours, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate documentation of visits.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment spaces, collecting vital signs, transcribing orders, and maintaining supplies. Requires BLS and CMA credentials, and a high school diploma or equivalent with 1 year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire.
• CMA credential required within 4 months of hire.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year relevant experience accepted in lieu of education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment environments and conduct initial patient screenings to welcome and ready patients for care.
• Accurately document vital signs and care journeys to support clinical decisions.
• Transcribe and process orders for labs and imaging for timely follow-up services.
• Manage front-of-house communications and maintain medical supplies to support the care team.
