Job summary

American Family Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant in Mount Juliet, Tennessee. In this role, you will blend clinical skills with patient service to ensure smooth clinic operations, including triaging patients and conducting insurance verifications.

The ideal candidate will have completed an accredited Medical Assistant program, possess national MA certification, and have at least 1 year of related experience, particularly in urgent care or emergency settings.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ year of experience with insurance verification and patient registration required.
• Active BLS certification required or must be obtained within defined onboarding period.
• Urgent care or emergency room experience highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Greet and triage patients, collect vitals/histories, perform venipuncture.
• Verify insurance eligibility, determine financial responsibility, and collect co-pays.
• Educate patients on clinical procedures and financial expectations.
