Qualifications

• Must receive CMA or equivalent certification within 15 months of hire.
• AHA CPR certification required within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• 1 year MA experience preferred.
• Must communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Must maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Preferred: alignment with mission/vision/values and ongoing proficiency assessments.
• Certifications: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), NCMA (NCCT) within 15 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Process and prepare patients for assessment and treatment.
• Assist medical clinician with office procedures.
• Sort incoming patient reports for clinician review.
• Maintain and clean instruments and work areas; prepare instruments for sterilization.
• Send prescriptions under clinician direction.
• Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed.
• Telephone counseling of patients under supervision.
• Respond to patient calls promptly.
• Restock examination rooms with supplies.
• Schedule procedures and referrals; document care/education.
