Job summary

Baptist Health System, Inc. in Fernandina Beach, FL is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care office. This full-time role, scheduled Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, supports back-office tasks such as rooming patients, taking vitals, and assisting providers.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of patient care experience, experience in a physician’s office, and hold a CMA certification with BLS. A High School diploma or GED is required; an Associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years patient care experience.
• Experience in a physician’s office.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical assistance to physicians.
• Obtains vital signs.
• Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit.
• Maintains medical documentation.
• Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician.
• Processes prescription requests and referrals.

Baptist Primary Care is hiring a Medical Assistant for our Fernandina Beach office.

This is a Full-Time opportunity working from Monday-Friday from 8:00A-5:00P.

The ideal candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting the provider.
