Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for the Fernandina Beach office. This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. The ideal candidate will perform back-office MA duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting the provider.

Qualifications

• 2+ years patient care experience in a clinical setting.
• Experience in a physician's office preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs.
• Greet and chaperone patients during visits.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Schedule care, treatment, and diagnostic tests per physician.
• Process prescription requests and referrals.
