Responsibilities

Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED required. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is required. Alternatively, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience if formal education is not completed.
• Minimum Experience: No experience required if graduated from a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program. Otherwise, one (1) year of related clinical experience is required.
• Licensure/Certification: BLS required. Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or similar recognized organization required.
