Job summary

AdventHealth Riverview is seeking an experienced clinical assistant to support clinic operations and deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS and CMA/medical assisting credentials, with 1+ year of related experience preferred. The position offers full-time hours, day shifts, and a sign-on bonus for eligible applicants.

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Stays up to date with policies and procedures to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency via annual clinical assessments.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment and documents results in the system.
• Maintains OSHA compliance and follows safety processes.
• Provides comprehensive care during office visits, including intake and review of test results.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees and patients' information.
• Supports staff by assisting patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Performs clinical intake including history, vitals, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service.
• Educates patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear instructions.
• Monitors inventory and maintains equipment functionality.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

*Up to $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for Eligible Applicants*

Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours Per Week Shift: Requires full availability, as location is open Monday-Friday 7am-7pm and Saturdays 8am-5pm - team rotates schedule.

1. Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
2. Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
3. Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
4. Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system.
5. Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
6. Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
7. Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information.
8. Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co-workers when necessary.
9. Performs clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
10. Assists with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service or results.
11. Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions.
12. Monitors and manages inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
