AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a Full-time Medical Administrative Assistant to support clinic operations and patient care in Tampa, Florida. You will travel as needed to meet staffing requirements and help ensure efficient office flow.

The role emphasizes maintaining compliance, documenting results, protecting patient information, and delivering comprehensive care during visits while supporting a collaborative team in a faith-based hospital system.

Responsibilities

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Maintains education requirements and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and tests.
• Prepares patients and equipment for treatment and documents results in the system.
• Maintains OSHA compliance and safety processes.
• Provides whole care to patients during visits, including intake, tests, labs, medications, and closing care gaps.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' information.
• Assists patients, visitors, and co-workers as needed to support staff teamwork.
• Performs clinical intake including screenings, history, vital signs, and medication reconciliation.
• Assists with minor procedures and ensures documentation at time of service or results.
• Educates patients about tests, medications, and diet with clear instructions.
• Monitors inventory and ensures supplies and equipment functioning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations.
• Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests.
• Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice’s designated system.
• Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies.
• Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps.
• Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information.
