Job summary

Harbor Health in Plano, TX is seeking Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to join our growing clinic group. You will support the clinical team, perform patient intake, collect lab specimens, administer immunizations, and chart in the EMR to ensure smooth daily operations.

As part of a payvider model, you will deliver compassionate, member-centered care, coordinate care tasks with providers, and help maintain accurate records while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or ability to renew/apply for certification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in primary care or similar clinical environment.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Computer proficiency to enter information in EHR systems and compile reports or data as requested.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service and support skills; ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Effective and professional communication with diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently with sound judgment.
• Flexibility to shift priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work rotating shifts in a physically demanding, moderate-stress environment
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, and repetitive motions
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting clients
• Light to moderate work with 50 lbs. maximum weight to lift and carry
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, handle objects, talk and/or hear, and see
