Harbor Health in Round Rock, TX seeks Certified Medical Assistants to join our new multi-specialty clinic group. You will support clinicians, perform intake, immunizations, and chart in the EHR to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or ability to renew/apply for certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in primary care or similar clinical environment.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Computer proficiency with the ability to enter information in EHR systems and compile reports or data as requested.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Excellent customer service and support skills; ability to organize and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Effective and professional communication — verbal and written — with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds.
• Consistent demonstration of positive, proactive customer service and ethical behavior.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member while functioning independently with sound judgment.
• Flexibility to shift priorities, maintain confidentiality, and establish effective interpersonal work relationships.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the clinical team to execute care tasks as ordered by providers
• Deliver care in accordance with each member's individualized care plan
• Perform client intake, collect lab specimens, and administer immunizations
• Chart accurately in electronic medical records (EHR)
• Assist with minor procedures and other supportive functions for the clinical team
• Complete opening and closing tasks each day to prepare for daily clinic operations
• Support the care team to ensure members' needs are met and hand-offs are appropriately conducted

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work rotating shifts in a physically demanding, moderate-stress environment
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, communicable diseases, and repetitive motions
• Full range of body motion including handling and lifting clients
• Light to moderate work with 50 lbs. maximum weight to lift and carry
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, handle objects, talk and/or hear, and see
