Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking motivated Medical Assistants to join our care teams in Georgia. Under physician or RN supervision, you will perform patient care activities and ensure adherence to established guidelines and standards.

The role requires either a high school diploma or GED with relevant experience or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with CMA/NCMA or equivalent credentials favored. BCLS is required to be considered for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or acceptable alternative: one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience may be considered.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification and CMA or NCMA credentials are preferred to meet job expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, APP, or RN.
• Follow established guidelines and standards to support safe and effective patient care.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Work Experience

• In lieu of degree one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
