Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide patient care under physician and nursing supervision in a Georgia clinic setting. The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program, or equivalent experience, with BCLS certification and applicable credentials.

Experience requirements are flexible; a GED or HS diploma is acceptable with related clinical exposure.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred; Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Nursing Assistant program is required.
• One (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience required in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

Qualifications

Education

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Preferred and
• Graduate of an accredited an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program Required or
• In Lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required or
• In lieu of degree one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience Required

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required and
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization Required or
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT Required
