Responsibilities

• Interview patients to gather and document medical history, medication reconciliation, and allergies.
• Perform vital signs measurement and standard tests as per clinic procedures.
• Coordinate follow-up procedures including onsite testing, specimen collection, and wound care under provider direction.
• Assist with provider-performed procedures such as suturing or splinting.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care, including test results, using cultural competency and active listening.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record system, ensuring all forms are completed.
• Collect and prepare specimens for transport to offsite laboratories.
• Monitor supplies and medications to support clinical operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment following infection control standards.

Qualifications

Required

• Current Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, ARMA).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to lift supplies and navigate the clinical area regularly.

Preferred

• Previous clinical experience.
