Duration: 12+ Months Contract with possible extension
Type: Part Time Role

Required Skills & Experience:

• Physician with board certification of psychiatrist and unrestricted license to practice as MD or DO in the US.
• Must be physically located within the US.
• Part time position- Estimated 10-15 hours per week with increases when covering for leave of other physicians.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Will review prior authorization requests for medical services to determine medical necessity.
• All review and decisioning is performed via electronic review.
• Will be required to be available for peer-to-peer reviews that may be requested based on a negative action.
• May be required to participate in a Fair Hearing should a negative action be appealed to explain the medical review process and decision making.
• Supported by a Medical Director and a team of physicians doing similar work.
