Novant Health Pediatrics SouthPark is seeking a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our pediatric team in Charlotte, NC. The role supports compassionate, personalized care alongside a collaborative clinical team and provides opportunities for professional development and tuition benefits.

Ideal candidates have pediatric or medical office experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with one Saturday shift per month, and access to loan

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; must obtain CMA/CCMA/RMA certification within 6 months if not currently certified.
• Current certification options include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, ARMA.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare exam rooms for clinical visits.
• Obtain and record vital signs accurately.
• Perform venipuncture and draw blood samples as ordered.
• Process and run laboratory tests according to established protocols.

What We Offer

Novant Health Pediatrics SouthPark is seeking a full-time CMA!

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm - one Saturday shift each month

Join Novant Health Pediatrics SouthPark as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and help provide compassionate, personalized care to patients. You'll work alongside a collaborative clinical team while building meaningful relationships with patients and supporting them throughout their care journey.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous experience working with pediatrics patients or in a medical office setting, though motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply!

What You'll Do

Job responsibilities include:

What We're Looking For

Education: High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including:

• CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA)
• RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
• National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
• National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
• American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement.

Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required

Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required

Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
