Certified Medical Assistant - Pediatric Urology - Physician Practice

Join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health as a Certified Medical Assistant - Pediatric Urology. We are committed to helping our patients live healthier lives while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Position Overview: The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical support to patients under the supervision of nurses or licensed practitioners and assists with clerical tasks. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments.
• Assist in patient preparation for physician visits and examinations.
• Record patient vital signs and update medical records.
• Operate and maintain special medical equipment properly.
• Perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test, UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab tests as trained and evaluated.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with billing procedures.
• Utilize computer software for office management.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and modify care based on patient needs (age, culture, language, impairments).
• Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to organizational standards.
• Lift and stand for required durations, with physical capabilities as specified.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of computerized data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent certification.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support (BLS) certification.
