Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide care in a fast-paced pediatric setting for ages 0-18 and adults as needed. You will assist clinicians, collect data, and document accurately.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and 1 year of related experience. A variety of national CMA/EMT certifications are acceptable; training is provided where needed.

Competenze

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a medical assistant or EMT program or documentation that certification is not required.
• BLS-Cert-Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• National certification/registrations listed in the job ad.

Mansioni

• Assists in collecting data including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural and environmental information.
• Collects and documents vital signs, BMI, height/weight, and reason for visit with accuracy.
• Updates documentation on prior visits, current medications, allergies, and other information per protocol.
• Prepares patient for examination and assists provider during treatments and testing.
• Documents treatments and interventions as directed and within scope of practice.
• Documents and administers medications and immunizations as directed by the physician.
• Supports patients and families in self-management through education.
• Uses basic diagnostic equipment and basic laboratory equipment as needed.
