Job summary

Methodist Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Representative to support physicians and APPs in providing patient care. You will perform routine clinical procedures, educate patients, document in health records, and handle front-line tasks within your certification scope.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program, and hold National/Registered Medical Assistant and BLS certifications, plus at least two years' practice experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience in a practice preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide healthcare services under physician/APP instruction.
Perform routine clinical procedures and patient education.
Enter and maintain accurate documentation in health records.
Perform other duties within scope of certification as assigned.
