The Medical Assistant at Methodist Health System will provide healthcare services to patients under the supervision of a Physician or APP. They will perform routine clinical procedures, participate in patient education, document information in patients’ health records, and carry out other duties within the scope of their certification.

Requirements include a High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, plus National/Registered MA certification and BLS.

Qualifications

High school diploma is required.
Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
National/Registered Medical Assistant Certification is required.
BLS Certification is required.
Minimum 2 years of professional Medical Assistant experience is preferred.

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be able to provide healthcare services to individuals as instructed by the Physician or APP. The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical procedures, participate in patient education, enter appropriate documentation into patients’ health records, and perform all other duties as assigned within the scope of their certification.
