Job summary

Mercy Health in Fairfield is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work closely with the primary care physician in our Internal Medicine Residency Outpatient Clinic. The CMA reviews and updates health records, measures vital signs, and prepares treatment rooms for upcoming examinations.

You will greet patients, verify test results, perform clerical duties, and ensure documentation complies with state guidelines. A High School diploma or GED and CMA certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMA certification required with licensure options listed.
• Basic computer and data entry skills expected.
• Prior medical office experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-facing support and excellent customer service.
• Reviews and updates patient charts, ensuring accuracy of records.
• Measures vital signs (pulse, BP, height/weight, etc.).
• Performs clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phones as needed.
• Maintains readiness of treatment rooms and adheres to guidelines.
