Job summary

Zufall Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the care team under Site Manager supervision. You will assist providers, collect medical history, update the EHR, and help ensure accurate records and patient privacy.

The role includes taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with education and follow-up instructions. Prior CMA certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Medical Assistant certification.
• Current certifications for EKG, Phlebotomy and BLS.
• Minimum 6 months experience in clinical/medical setting, or at least 120 hours of externship experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patient and family cordially at every visit, using cultural sensitivity and customer service skills.
• Assist providers with care of patients including collecting history, medications, allergies, vital signs, and entering data into the EHR.
• Obtain and update records, discharge summaries, and other hospital information as needed.
• Participate in Care Team meetings to prepare for visits and anticipate needs.
• Provide translation assistance or access to language line when needed.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality according to HIPAA policies.
