Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completed a formal Medical Assistant Training Program -or- minimum of three (3) years working as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS Certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Establishes strong relationships with providers; facilitates excellent patient care.
• Consistently exceeds customer service expectations and communicates effectively.
• Strong data entry and computer abilities in addition to department-specific clinical skills.
• Able to perform accurately and quickly in a busy, stressful environment, setting priorities as to duties.
• Understands and follows policies and procedures; demonstrates teamwork.
• Actively participates in the department; implements SJRMC’s Service Standards: Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, Stewardship.
• Other duties as assigned.
