Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work directly with patients and providers to deliver clinical excellence and enhanced patient experience. You will prepare patients for visits by taking vital signs, performing tests, and prepping schedules, following clinical protocols and regulatory standards.

You will engage with patients and the healthcare team, answer calls, relay messages for providers or nurses, and act as a resource and role model for MA and Patient Service

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience in the medical industry, including patient care or non-patient care roles; continuing education in healthcare accepted in lieu of experience.
• Registration or Certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited body, or active LPN/RN license.
• BLS (CPR) current or must obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs and perform specialized tests to prepare patients for visits.
• Interact with patients, peers, and health-care team members to support clinical excellence.
• Answer patient calls and relay messages for providers or nurses; follow clinical protocols and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a resource and role model for Medical Assistants and Patient Service Coordinator teams.
