Job summary

Novant Health South Charlotte Endocrinology seeks a compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team, partnering with providers to deliver safe, high‑quality care and an exceptional patient experience during every visit.

The CMA will obtain vital signs, assist with exams, manage injections and specimen collection, document in the EMR, coordinate tests and referrals, and educate patients on medications and follow-up plans.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information accurately.
• Demonstrate ability to perform common CMA duties with accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate patient care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and document information in the EMR.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Perform injections, specimen collection, EKGs, and point-of-care testing as appropriate.
• Coordinate patient flow and communicate test results and follow-up needs.
• Educate patients on medications and treatment plans as directed by the provider.
• Schedule testing, referrals, and follow-up appointments.
