Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold current Medical Assistant certification (CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA or ARMA).
• Must hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Position requires ability to lift supplies and navigate clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to collect and document history and medications.
• Performs vital signs and standard clinic testing.
• Coordinates follow-on procedures including onsite testing and specimen collection.
• Assists with provider-performed procedures such as wound care.
• Communicates with patients about their care and test results, with cultural competency.
• Documents care into the EMR and ensures required forms are completed.
• Collects and prepares testing specimens for transport to lab.
• Maintains supplies and medications for ongoing operations.
• Promotes a safe, clean clinical environment with infection-control practices.
