Job summary

Tidelands Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant I to join our team for part-time PRN coverage. The role provides direct patient care within a health system setting, supporting clinicians and ensuring clinic operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, medication administration with physician authorization, EKGs, drawing blood, and patient education in alignment with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of related customer facing experience is required.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accompany patients to exam rooms and prepare them for exams.
• Perform and document vital signs.
• Assist with procedures as directed by clinicians.
• Prepare and administer medications with physician’s authorization.
• Perform EKGs and use CPR skills when required.
• Draw blood and assist with specimen collection.
• Provide patient education on office policies, medications, and disease/home treatments.
