Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care under the direction of a healthcare provider. You will collect vital signs, prepare patients, assist with injections and vaccines, and support routine testing and specimen handling.

You will also schedule tests and communicate results and care plans to patients, while maintaining safety and privacy. The role requires a high school diploma or GED at hire, with a preference for 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required upon hire.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temp, respirations, height, weight).
• Greet patients and prepare them for the provider.
• Administer medications or vaccines per orders and routes.
• Assist with routine tests (e.g., EKGs) and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
• Schedule diagnostic testing and follow up on results.
• Maintain clean, sterile instruments and exam rooms; ensure patient privacy and safety.
