Job summary

Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation invites applications for a Certified Medical Assistant to provide support in Echo Cliffs Health Center. You will gather vital signs, prepare specimens, and assist with examinations under the supervision of a Licensed Independent Practitioner.

The ideal candidate will hold a CMA certification, current BLS, and demonstrate excellent patient service, data entry, and teamwork skills across clinical and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Must have CMA certification from AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA.
• Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents and data in EMR.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct patient care procedures under supervision of LIP.
• Take vital signs and prepare records for examinations.
• Prepare and send laboratory specimens for testing.
• Perform waived testing (glucose, rapid strep, urinary analysis) under policy.
• Obtain specimens and assist with minor procedures as trained.
• Administer medications as directed by LIP; administer injections.
• Educate patients on medical issues and infection control practices.
• Maintain clinical records and schedule patient appointments.
• Ensure PPE protocols and safety standards are followed.
• Complete EHR entries accurately and timely; support data management.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification

BLS certification (AHA)
