Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute Physicians seeks a Medical Assistant to perform a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, physician extender, or registered nurse, while also supporting front and back office functions.

The role requires completion of a recognized Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program or an equivalent two-year clinical experience. CMA-AAMA certification and BCLS are required on hire.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required plus completion of a Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program.
• Alternative: two years of medical assistant or related clinical experience in lieu of degree/certification.
• Certifications: CMA-AAMA or similar certifying org required on hire; BCLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of patient care activities under supervision of a physician, physician extender, or RN per guidelines.
• Duty assignments include front office and back office functions.
