CHRISTUS Health in San Antonio seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care with precise data entry for registration and insurance verification. The role requires professional communication with patients, families, and staff, and demonstrates good judgment.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians and extenders, scheduling, and informing patients about benefits. CMA and BLS are required. 1 year of medical office experience is preferred. Schedule: 8 AM–5 PM, full-time.

Formación

• Requires CMA certification and BLS certification.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and data-entry skills needed.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in patient care.
• Enter charges and register patients accurately; update accounts.
• Verify insurance information and document statistics.
• Schedule patient appointments and answer phones; inform patients of benefits.
• Keep providers informed of changes and coordinate with teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
