Job summary

You will ensure proper specimen handling, operate the EHR, greet patients, schedule and obtain referrals, and maintain equipment cleanliness. Requires BLS, 3 months healthcare experience, and a High School diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Experience drawing blood and proper specimen handling.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems for documentation.
• Ability to perform patient rooming and assist with procedures.
• Carry out clerical duties such as answering phones, greeting patients, filing, faxing, and scanning.
• Must have Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum of 3 months of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrates all of the Medical Assistant KSA's.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist with medical procedures.
• Support clinical and clerical tasks to keep the practice running smoothly.
• Prepare charts, collect referrals, images, and lab results prior to visits.
• Maintain cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Document accurately in the EHR and retrieve patient information as needed.
