The Medical Assistant supports the medical team with triage, vital signs, EKG, injections, and EHR data entry, maintaining accurate documentation and smooth patient flow in a fast-paced hospital setting at University Hospital in Louisville.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Medical Assisting degree (preferred).
• One year of medical assisting experience working in a medical facility (preferred).
• Medical Assisting certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilités

• Obtain medical history and triage patients; record vitals.
• Reconcile medication list in EHR.]
• Respond to tasks timely and appropriately.
• Assist physician in exam room (minor procedures).
• Schedule patient appointments and register patients with paperwork and insurance details.
