Job summary

UofL Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support the medical team in delivering quality patient care. Responsibilities include triage, vitals, history taking, EKGs, injections, and documentation in the EHR. You will schedule appointments, register patients, and help with pre- and post-procedure tasks.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, Medical Assisting certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA), and 1 year of experience or externship in a medical setting. BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Medical Assisting Degree (preferred).
• One year of medical assisting experience in a medical facility or externship (preferred).
• Medical Assisting certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist medical team in providing quality patient care.
• Perform triage, document vitals, collect patient history and conduct EKGs.
• Administer injections and coordinate with physicians for procedures.
• Manage patient information in the EHR and ensure accurate charting.
• Schedule appointments, register patients, and collect necessary paperwork.
