Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• Active CMA or RMA certification.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care including vital signs and exams under LIP supervision.
• Perform venipuncture, injections, vaccines, and minor procedures as directed.
• Administer medications per LIP orders within MA scope of practice.
• Maintain sterile technique and aseptic practices; proper waste handling.
• Support medical records management and EHR data entry; HIPAA compliance.
• Perform pre-visit planning, scheduling, and confirmations for appointments.
• Handle billing, coding, and insurance claims guidance with experienced staff.
• Coordinate specimen transmission and referrals for patient care.
