Tufts Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant to support outpatient/ambulatory care. You will prepare rooms, take vitals, assist physicians, and handle both clinical and clerical duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include preparing records, interviewing patients when needed, and performing Point of Care testing. Strong communication and EMR experience are required; bilingual candidates are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification Attestation by a governing body (AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA).
• BLS Certification or obtain within three months.
• Two years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Three years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Bilingual.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems.

Responsabilités

• Controls and monitors patient flow to maximize efficient use of providers and exam rooms.
• Prepares medical records for patient visits and verifies accuracy.
• Provides high level customer service in all patient interactions.
• Maintains safe, clean environment for patients and families.
• Assists with exams, treatments and procedures as needed.
• Performs vital signs and records patient data accurately.
• Performs point-of-care testing and basic lab duties as ordered.
• Assists with billing by ensuring CPT/diagnosis codes are accurate.
• Coordinates referrals and prior authorizations as requested by provider.
