Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care through accurate data entry, registration, and insurance verification. The role requires strong communication with patients and staff in a busy medical office.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians and nurses, scheduling appointments, answering calls, and verifying benefits. A CMA certification and BLS are required, with 1 year of medical office experience preferred. Full-time, 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
• 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
• CMA certification is required.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in giving superior medical care.
• Accurate Data Entry of charges on patient accounts, registering patients, and updating patient accounts.
• Insurance Verification and recording of Statistics.
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keeping providers informed of changes, and informing patients of their benefits.
• Other duties as assigned.
